Unknown 'Thin Threads' Found in the Central Region of the Milky Way

Unusual narrow structures, so-called thin filaments of gas, have been discovered in the giant clouds of the galactic center. They appear to be formed by powerful shock waves and, like a tornado, quickly dissipate.
